WHAT DOES IT MEAN...to "believe?"

1st./  Can anyone be "saved from the wrath to come" if they opt to believe anything they want to believe ? ANS. no

Psalm 49:6-14; 6] They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; 7] None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: 8] (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) 9] That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

Ps 33:16-17; There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. 17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

Ps 22:29;...and none can keep alive his own soul.

Ec 8:8; There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.  


Isa 28:18; And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

De 32:39; See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
